Mazda started its life as a cork manufacturer back in 1920. By 1931 Mazda had launched their first vehicle, the “Mazda-go” – a tricycle truck. The brand Mazda comes from Ahura Mazda, the god of harmony, intelligence and wisdom from the earliest civilization in West Asia. Without the rotary engine, there would probably be no Mazda today. This brave Japanese car manufacturer defied convention by embracing the rotary engine rather than the conventional piston engine.
