If you yearn to breakfast at Tiffany’s, pack your little black dress and pearls and head for New York. Yes, there you can start your day at Tiffany’s Blue Box Café with waffles, bagels or other delectable goodies and coffee, so you’ll be ready to shop ‘til you drop – or your credit card dies a blissful death.

But Tiffany didn’t start life in Fifth Avenue. Its doors were first opened in 1837 in Connecticut by its namesake Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B Young, where it sold, would you believe, stationery items.

Fast forward to 1940 and Tiffany’s luxury flagship store came home to roost in Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, where it’s been the epitome of diamond and sterling silver exclusivity ever since.
